Fascinated by watching his mother refinish furniture, "DC" Dave, company founder, became interested in woodworking. Later, under the tutelage of master craftsman in the hardwood flooring business, Dave found his career path. With more than 35 years in the trade, Dave is highly skilled in all aspects of hardwood flooring, installation, repair, staining, and refinishing. “Wood floors are our passion” isn’t just our company’s tagline—it’s what continually drives us to deliver the highest quality results. Dave is equally skilled at handrails, steps and tile installation. His love for the before-and-after transformation, unique to each customer’s job, makes the end result a full expression of our homeowner’s vision. Dave is involved in every step of our clients’ projects—from proposal to final walk-through. DC Harwood Flooring LLC is a minority-owned business. Dave is a certified member of the Menominee Indian Tribe.
In business since 1989, we install, sand, stain, and finish new hardwood flooring, as well as re-sand and refinish existing hardwood floors. We offer popular floor finishes including eco-friendly water-based options and we specialize in the authentic Glitsa® Swedish finish—the most durable on the market today. We also install pre-finished floors, replace base trim and window casings, update stairway balusters and handrails, reface cabinet doors, install tile flooring and backsplashes, hang new doors, and perform other custom carpentry and remodeling services.

Custom staining—A lot of flooring companies advise against staining because it’s unforgiving, meaning that if it is not done properly, it will show every flaw. But we LOVE staining! We provide large-format stain samples, create custom stain colors, and hand-rub every floor.
