Rough Email Estimate: Email DC Hardwood Flooring
Please keep in mind, this is not a contract, only a rough estimate to give you a ball-park idea of what your floor might cost. An actual physical bid will still have to be done before we can put your job into our schedule.

Things to include for sanding and finishing existing floors:
Please include as much of the following information as possible so we can give you an estimate that is as accurate as possible.

SQUARE FOOTAGE: Width x Length - please round up to the nearest 1/2 foot. When in doubt it is best to over-estimate and round up to the nearest foot.

STEPS: Steps are not on a square foot price. Please let us know the approximate length of each step and number of steps. Also whether or not risers need to be supplied as well.

TYPE OF FINISH you want: Swedish, Oil Base Polyurethane, Water Base and what sheen (Gloss, Semi-Gloss, Matte.) And do you want a stain (light, medium or dark) or for the floor to be natural.

EXISTING FLOOR COVERINGS: Please give us the total square footage of any old carpeting, vinyl or tile you want us to remove.

EXISTING FLOOR HISTORY: Please include anything you think we may need to know to give you the most accurate estimate. Such as: If this is an existing floor you just want re-sanded, what type of wood is it, when was it last re-finished, the finish currently on the floor etc.

Things to include for installing, sanding and finishing a floor:

SQUARE FOOTAGE: See above

TYPE OF WOOD YOU WANT: Oak, maple, etc. and what grade (select, #1 or #2 see types of wood for definition). What size width of boards (2 1/4 inch, 3 1/4 inch, plank etc.).
